Terms and Conditions Relating to Brokerage of Workshop Leaders
These are the basic terms and conditions that workshop leaders and commissioners should be aware of when purchasing or entering an agreement with PRF Solutions. Full Terms and Conditions will be agreed with each individual party.
Workshop Leaders
- By agreement, PRF Solutions will enter into promotional agreements with providers of workshops on a bespoke basis. The full service includes:
- sourcing and arranging venue
- designing and distributing promotional material
- handling enquiries and taking bookings
- receipt of payments
- payment for venue and other costs
- communications with participants
- hosting on day of workshop
- evaluation of workshop
- promotion of workshop leaders for commissioned training
In the above, workshops are normally promoted as "PRF" or Joint Venture workshops, depending on workshop leaders preference.
Additional services that are required for the success of the workshop can be negotiated.
Any or all of these services may be negotiated.
2. Workshop leaders are responsible for ensuring that they have adequate Professional Liability
insurance. PRF Solutions has Public Indemnity insurance for hosting workshops.
3. Workshop leaders must be confident that they have the professional competence and training to
undertake a workshop, both in terms of subject knowledge and training expertise/ability.
4. PRF Solutions will, when receiving payments for workshop, provide workshop leaders with a break down of
income and expenditure for the workshop together with any payment owing.
Commissioners
PRF Solutions will also promote workshop leaders for commissioned training. This is where a company or organisation hires the workshop leader for their purposes, using PRF as an intermediary. In these instances, commisioners should be aware that:
- workshop leaders should have their own Professional Liability insurance
- the commissioner should have appropriate insurance to cover their liability towards anyone attending the workshop
- payment for the workshop leader should be made no later than 15 days after the receipt of invoice
- late payments will be liable to late payment charges. These charges will be:
- 10% of the charge for payments more than 7 days overdue
- 15% of the charge for payments more than 30 days overdue
- Cancellation charges (where cancellation is made by commissioner) are as follows:
- cancellations made over 60 days prior to event - no charge
- cancellations made 30 - 59 days prior to event - 25% charge
- cancellations made 29 - 14 days prior to event - 50% charge
- cancellations made 14 - 8 days prior to event - 75% charge
- cancellations made 0 - 7 days prior to event - 100% charge.
- Cancellations made by PRF / Workshop leader will result in 100% refund to commissioner.
- Where the commissioner requests change of date this will be accommodated in agreement with the workshop leaders. We will always attempt to accommodate requests. However, when a change of date is requested within 10 working days, we reserve the right to charge 50% of the fee in compensation for loss of earnings for the workshop leader.
- Where the workshop leader requests a postponement or change of date, we will negotiate a mutually agreeable solution with the commissioner. In any circumstance we will offer a further date will be offered with a 15% discount on the agreed price by way of compensation.
